Robyn Malcom

Robyn Malcolm is a distinguished New Zealand actor whose career spans stage and screen. Malcolm began her professional acting career on stage, prominently working with Downstage Theatre in Wellington’s Hannah Playhouse. She performed in 15 Downstage productions in the first three years of her professional career, including classical and contemporary works.

On television she is widely known for roles such as Nurse Ellen Crozier on Shortland Street and Cheryl West in Outrageous Fortune. In recognition of her contribution to screen and theatre, she was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2019.

In 2023, the Hannah Playhouse celebrated its 50th anniversary and it was a joy to have Malcolm as the host for the evening’s commemorative event, highlighting both her personal connection to the venue and her standing within the theatrical community.
