How do I buy tickets for an event at The Hannah?

Each production uses their preferred ticketing agency. Check out our events in What’s On to find direct links to book for each.

Door sales are subject to availability and managed by the artists - please refer to the ticketing provider webpage for up to date availability. Payment methods may vary. 

Is there parking available at the venue?

There is no dedicated car parking at The Hannah. Nearby street parking is available with varying times and charges. All street parking is free from 8pm.

Car parking facilities are available on Barnett Street (uncovered) and in the Te Papa carpark (covered and uncovered) – please check each for information on charges and closing times.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes - there is lift access from the Ground Floor entrance on Cambridge Terrace to Level 1 (Halfway Up Bar, toilets) and Level 2 (auditorium - stalls). Our auditorium has lightweight, removable seats which can be removed for wheelchairs in the front row. Balcony seating is not step–free, nor accessible via lift.

What time should I arrive prior to a performance?

We typically recommend arriving at the theatre 20-25 minutes prior to the advertised start time. Your tickets will be checked on the ground floor. The Halfway Up Bar on Level 1 will be open to serve drinks and snacks. The doors to the theatre will be open when the show is ready for you to take your seats.

Can I bring food and drinks into the venue?

Due to alcohol licensing, only alcohol purchased at Halfway Up (Level 1) or Tasting Room (Ground Floor) may be brought on site. There is an entrance from the Tasting Room directly into the Hannah if you haven’t quite finished your drink downstairs before the show begins. Please no hot food in the theatre, unless purchased at the Halfway Up Bar.

What is your refund or exchange policy?

Each production uses their own preferred ticketing agency - please refer to the T&Cs on their website or your receipt. For additional questions about an already made booking, contact the ticketing provider the booking was made with - details will be on your e-tickets or receipt.

Is there a coat check or storage available?

There is a coat rack upon entry to the auditorium, available for your use.

Can I take photos or record during a performance?

Photography, video or audio recording of a performance is prohibited, unless explicitly encouraged by the production.
